Dalmatian Puppy Socialisation
Alfie's socialisation began with the Dalmatian breeder. He and his litter mates were introduced to people, children and other dogs from a very early age. They also experienced radio, a car ride, the vets office and many different sounds.As soon as Alfie came to us, we continued his socialisation, by:
- Showing him lots of different sights, places and sounds such as cars, lorries, buses, shops, motorway service stations, city centers, rain, thunder, barbecues, TV and the vacuum cleaner!
- Introducing him to other animals: horses, birds, rabbits and a squirrel as well as other Dalmatians and dogs.
- Letting him meet new people, from very young to very old, in his own home,
in their homes and out and about.....
The sight of an 8 week old Dalmatian puppy being pushed around the local DIY superstores in the basket of a trolley was enough to help Alfie meet lots of new friends, young and old, who just couldn't resist stopping to say hello.
Alfie now enjoys car rides, walks, meeting people and animals and takes most new experiences in his stride ! He even loves the vet!
